Our FACILTATORS

Our group programs are facilitated by experienced, compassionate clinicians who specialise in trauma recovery, emotional wellbeing, and group-based care.

With deep experience supporting first responders, military personnel, and adults from a wide range of backgrounds, our facilitators create a safe, grounded environment where clients can explore patterns, process experiences, and build connection.

Their expertise in evidence-based practices ensures each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of the group.

Valya Bazalicki

Mental Health OT & Psychotherapist

Valya is a highly experienced Mental Health Occupational Therapist and Gestalt Psychotherapist with over 30 years of clinical experience supporting adults in both individual and group therapy. She is registered with OT Australia, GANZ and AHPRA.

Valya brings a compassionate, client-centred approach to working with adults experiencing PTSD, trauma, anxiety and depression. Her therapeutic style is integrative and flexible, drawing on a diverse range of evidence-based modalities including psychotherapy, occupational therapy interventions, CBT strategies, sensory modulation, mindfulness-based therapies and trauma-focused approaches such as EMDR, Prolonged Exposure Therapy and TF-CBT.

At the heart of Valya’s philosophy is the belief that psychological wellbeing is embedded in our need for meaningful, attuned relationships — with ourselves, others and the world around us. Her work is also deeply informed by a long-standing interest in meditation and spirituality, which supports her holistic and grounded style of practice.

Valya is dedicated to creating a calm, authentic and psychologically safe space where clients can explore emotional patterns, deepen self-awareness and build self-efficacy. Through the group therapy process, she helps participants navigate relational dynamics, core vulnerabilities and limiting schemas while cultivating connection, compassion and sustainable wellbeing.
